AmbuSens IoT based Ubiquitous Healthcare Monitoring

The AmbuSens system was developed at the Smart Wireless Applications and Networking (SWAN) Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.

AmbuSens focuses on achieving seamless real-time monitoring and management of healthcare data in an ambulatory context, leveraging IoT technologies such as wireless on-body sensors, cellular (3G/4G), and cloud computing. The system leverages wireless body area network (WBAN) to wirelessly collect various physiological health parameters (e.g., ECG and heart rate). The collected data is processed by a middleware solution that uses an unique hashing-based privacy-preservation mechanism to preserve patient’s confidentiality before subsequent transmission and storage in the cloud.
